Our Classes
At Relentless we offer a wide range of classes, which are available for kids from 5 years of age and upwards and also for adults of all ages, fitness levels and experience. Here is the full list below...
Beginners Muay Thai & Kickboxing Fitness
This a great class to improve fitness, lose weight and also learn all the fundamentals of kickboxing in a safe environment where there is no contact involved. This is a class for adults of all ages and levels. It is a high intensive 50 minute long class full of kickboxing fun and sweat.
The class involves a fast paced warm up involving skipping, jogging and also one of our favorites is the use of agility ladders.
After the warm up we go into our main part of the class which involves bag work, skipping, shadowboxing and body weight exercises.
Every session is finished with a high intensity finisher!!
Muay Thai
Muay Thai is the most effective stand up combat sport in the world originating from Thailand. It is referred to as the Art of 8 Limbs as you are allowed to punch, kick, knee and elbow.
Through technical work such as bag work, pad work, partner drilling, Muay Thai clinching our students learn all the fundamentals of Muay Thai.
For our fighters class we drill our techniques every day working on defence, attacks and counters. Sparring is a must for those competing so we have it everyday. One day a week is full sparring other days we do kick spars and clinch spars this is where you really put your skills to the test and get you ready for competition.
Boxing
Boxing is called the sweet science as all you are allowed to use is your hands. To be successful in this sport you must have great footwork, head movement, attacks, defense and counters.
Our classes focus on good footwork, been fast with our attacks, working on counter attacks and the use of angles. We always do head movement drills every class, without drilling you will never be able to pull it off in a spar or a fight.
Boxing class is on once a week and we always finish with 3-5 rounds of sparring, this is fast paced in a controlled manner.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art, combat sport and self defence system based on grappling and especially ground fighting with a strong focus on positional control and submissions.
Through improving your balance, fitness, coordination and body awareness practitioners are able to gain and maintain control over a resisting opponent, while exposing opportunities to perform submissions.
BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments (Gi and No-Gi) and is essential if you wish to compete in MMA.
In our classes we go through all the fundamentals in ground attacks and defence including submissions.
Freestyle Wrestling
Freestyle Wrestling is an Olympic Sport and is essential skill needed to be successful in MMA. It is a dynamic and acrobatic discipline that involves gaining control over your opponent by taking them down to the ground using different takedowns, throws, leg trips, clinch techniques while also having to be able to defend their attacks.
Our Freestyle Wrestling classes always start with an intensive warm-up involving rolls, cartwheels, jumps and sport specific movements. From here we go into partner drilling practicing skills in attacking, defending and countering our opponents. At the end the class is finished with a number of rounds where they get to practice there skills in a safe environment.
Mixed Martial Arts
Mixed Martial Arts or MMA is the world’s fastest growing sport.
It is a full contact combat sport that involves striking and grappling.
MMA uses techniques from various martial arts including Wrestling, Muay Thai, Boxing and BJJ.
Our MMA classes are taught by Danni Neilan who is Professional MMA fighter signed with the second biggest organisation in the world Bellator.
In the classes she teaches sequences that bring all the techniques from the various sports together which prepares you for competition in MMA. Each class involves sparring which best tests your skills.
This class is invite only, those who attend must be in the gym at least 3 months and have partaken in our Muay Thai, K1, Boxing, BJJ and Wrestling classes.
Combat Conditioning
This is a high intensity circuit style class and is an adult only beginner friendly class.
It combines bag work, with various fitness and strength and conditioning exercises. Examples of these are box jumps, agility ladders, battle ropes, kettlebells and the use of medicine balls.
This is a very popular class among our members and has tremendous benefits for your overall fitness, strength and conditioning while also getting to work on your technique from bag work and shadowboxing.
